About Gtech
Grey Technology Limited is an independent design, development and distribution company for cordless floorcare products and garden machinery. We are based in Spetchley, Worcestershire, where all our design, development and testing takes place. We also have an office in Hong Kong that manages our manufacturing operations in China and also maintains our rigorous quality control procedure. You can find Gtech products in many of the largest retail outlets in the UK including Comet, House of Fraser, Tesco, John Lewis and Selfridges among many others.
Gtech's success is not just limited to the UK, our emphasis on producing cordless, lightweight, high quality British products has resulted in sales of over 10 million products to date all over the world from Europe to Asia.
Gtech was founded by Chairman Nick Grey in 2001, with the trademarked name Gtech being registered in June 2002. Nick could see the huge potential of his new idea and set about developing his first cordless electronic sweeper - the SW01 from a simple brief he had drawn up for himself. He wanted to design "something small, light and unencumbered by cables, handy to pick up and use, but still capable of cleaning the floors of an entire house on a single charge". His design had sold well over 8 million units worldwide to date. Innovation remains at the heart of our business, and we now have a range of sweepers to cater for every need imaginable, and our products are brimming with technology designed to make your life that little bit easier, infact each sweeper contains 6 patented features by Grey Technology. We have driven the cordless market to new levels of performance with our sweepers working on all surfaces and able to sweep up anything from dust to dog biscuits in a matter of seconds.
In 2004 Gtech launched a range of cordless garden tools, a cylinder mower, a grass strimmer and hedge cutter. Again these products were a resounding success and in true Gtech style they have got even better for 2008 with more powerful and greener Lithium battery packs to make the gardening even easier giving you even more "you time to enjoy it!"
2008 also sees the launch of our all new hand held vacuum cleaner - the HV01, which uses revolutionary 'V' technology for up to 18 times more efficient cleaning than a regular vacuum head and is capable of cleaning up to 14 times closer to skirting boards and furniture than its traditional rivals, resulting in unbeatable performance. The HV01 will be available nationwide in the autumn of 2008!
